Richard L. Bianchino, Lt Col (USMC Ret.)
In addition to other Bachelor and Post Graduate degrees Rich earned post graduate certificates from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA and the Institute for Applied Management and Law in Los Angeles. He entered the Marine Corps via the PLC Program in 1961  receiving his commission in June 1963. He served two tours as an infantry officer in the First and Third Marine Divisions, commanding an infantry platoon and  company in Vietnam, while a member of 1/1 and 2/3. After completing flight school in 1968 he was designated a Naval Aviator, and flew the H-46 in Vietnam with HMM-364 Purple Foxes. He served in both the First and Third Marine Aircraft Wings.He served as a Staff Platoon Commander and instructor at the Basic School. 
 His awards include the Silver Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal W/V, Gold Numeral 2 and Bronze Numeral 10, Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal W/V, Combat Action Ribbon  and several foreign awards. He has received 5 Boeing Vertol Life Saving Awards. He retired from the Marine Corps in 1987. He worked as a Human Resources Manager and Administrator with McDonnal Douglas, Huntington Beach, CA and Director, College Planning Division, Interstate Specialty Marketing, Inc., Tustin CA. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the board of directors of several non-profit organizations. He was inducted into the SUNY Cortland "C" Club Athletic Hall of Fame.  He resides in Anaheim Hills, CA with his wife Brenda. They have two daughters and three grandsons.
